“Men tell me that I’ve saved their marriages. It’s cost them a fortune in shoes, but it’s cheaper than a divorce. So I’m still useful, you see.” – Manolo Blahnik
No matter how many pairs of shoes I have, I will always want more. This morning my apartment buzzer rang and I literally shot out of my bed like a child on Christmas day. I knew exactly what was being delivered. The most beautiful cute & sassy pair of silver metallic courts from asos… I put them on my feet and I just gazed at them for at least 8 to 9 minutes. Stunning. That’s exactly how new shoes should make you feel. That’s how you know it was a good purchase.
Metallics… The new big thing hitting the runway and high street stores. Now I wasn’t too keen on the idea at first. I had visions of the spice girls in my head, now although the spice girls were legendary… The spice girl era of fashion was not! However after seeing the different editorial shots in last months edition of vogue, I thought to myself ‘it’s actually not as tacky as I first comprehended’.
So I’ve decided to blog on metallics starting from the shoes. Now I’ve picked out 18 different pairs of metallic shoes, some quite out there some not so much, depending on different types of people as well as altering styles. These were my absolute favourites and can be found in the following stores and websites;
- River Island
- New Look
